The Casey’s Produce Great Junior Spectacle

Casey O’Connell won the Junior Sedan A Main on Saturday night at the Fraser Shores Maryborough Speedway, but not before a tremendous battle with Casey Collins.
The two Caseys put on a brilliant spectacle, with the duo starting on the front row for the fifteen lap main event.
Casey Collins got the better of the start, and was hounded by O’Connell throughout the duration, with the latter trying to pass Collins on the inside and outside to no avail
Behind them, Dakota Laverty, Mason Cameron and Michael Larsen headed the chasing pack, but all eyes were on the two leaders. O’Connell levelled with Collins with four laps remaining, with Collins unfortunately losing a wheel, causing him to hit the fence, which put him out of the race.
O’Connell opened a handy lead on the four lap restart to win comfortably, with Laverty, Cameron and Braith Hogan filling the first four placings on an outstanding night of Junior racing.
Earlier nine qualifying heats were contested with Collins winning all three of his preliminaries. OConnell won twice, only beaten by Collins, while Damon Musch, Dakota Laverty, Michael Larsen and Kurtis Peall all greeted the chequered flag first on one occasion.
Jaiden Torrisi would be a comfortable winner of the New Star Feature race.
