Pammenter Perfect at Lismore for NSW Modified Sedan Title

Rodney Pammenter has led all the way to win the NSW Modified Sedan Title at Lismore Speedway on Saturday night, in the 30 lap A Main.
Pammenter and Greg Worling would start on the front row after the twelve qualifying heats, while Mark Raymont and Peter Gray would start on row two.
In an action packed opening to the race, Worling would get shuffled back to fourth place after the opening lap, which is also all that Jordan Biviano, Steve Jordan and Robert Trapp did, after a three car pile-up.
Three laps later Steve Downes lost a wheel in turn four, as Pammenter held a car length lead over Raymont, Gavin Fletcher and Worling.
As the race settled down, the yellows came on again after ten laps with Aidan Raymont and Lee Volk retiring after an incident on the back straight.The race resumed with Pammenter and Raymont opening a small gap on the remainder of the field, with Raymont hounding Pammenter, lap after lap, but unable to get Pammenter to make a mistake. The same scenario was playing out for third with Worling trying everything to pass Fletcher, eventually doing so with an outside move in turn three on lap seventeen.
With five laps to go, Max Clarke got the better of Fletcher to move to fourth, while Worling had caught the leading pair.
Pammenter though was rock solid, not deviating throughout the entire race from the inside line, holding off Mark Raymont and Greg Worling in a close finish.
Max Clarke drove away from Fletcher in the concluding stages to finish fourth, with Fletcher and Peter Gray rounding out the top six.
For Pammenter it was his maiden victory in the event, after being the runner-up in the same event in 2010, while for Mark Raymont it would be first time on the podium, and Greg Worlings fifth, three of those as the runner-up and the second time finishing third over a ten year period.
