Last Saturday night at Mothar Mountain Speedway saw the final round of the Ellerfield Financial Planning King of the Mounting Challenge for National 4s.
Once again the series was not finally decided until the very last feature event of the Challenge.
Highest point scorer over the final round of heats, Tim Weir took on one more challenge in the feature final. He decided to take ‘the back of the bus option’ and started the feature at the rear of the field. The aim was to win the feature and collect the extra prizemoney on offer for doing so. He fell one position short when the Escort of current Queensland Champion Justin Weir carried him to an end of season Feature win. Peter Baguley came home in third place.
Final points would see Tim Weir take out the Ellerfield Financial Planning Challenge in 1st place with Justin Weir in 2nd place and Rodney Midolo in 3rd place.
Peter Baguley was drawn out of the hat for the Lucky Dog Prize for being outside the top 10.
The Gympie Saloon Car Club would like to thank Ellerfield Financial Planning for their continued support of the National 4 division and all the drivers who took part in this years Challenge.
