Delays in Issuing Licences

03/10/08…Pam Franz

Drivers who are wishing to race and who have not already completed their paperwork for the 2008/09 season need to be aware that there is a huge back log and there could be a delay of up to 3 weeks from the time your paperwork leaves your Club Secretary to when it is returned ready for you to compete.

YOU CAN NOT RACE ON A RECEIPT!!!!  You must have all your paperwork completed and Log Book and Infringement Card/Licence and NASR Card issued and in your possession before competing.

The process – Your ASCF Infringement Card or QSCA Licence will not be issued until such time as notification has been received by the QSCA that NASR have received your application and accepted the risk.  A list is sent to the QSCA each Friday evening updating those who are current and able to race.  After receipt of this list including your name and only then will your Infringement Card/Licence be issued.

As of today 3rd October NASR have a huge backlog of paperwork to process and are approximately 10 working days behind in processing applications.

The only way to speed up your application is to pay the $50 Fast Track fee at time of application.  You will reduce the turn around of your NASR card to a few days and consequently your Infringement Card/Licence.

Likewise car registrations that are required within 14 days of when your application is received by the QSCA requires a $50 fast track fee to be paid to ensure it is turned around quickly.

If you are unsure about your Infringement Card/Licence and Log Book contact your Club Secretary in the first instance and they will follow your enquiry through to an outcome.
