The South Australian Modified Sedan Title was held at the Murray Machining and Sheds, Murray Bridge Speedway on Sunday evening, just five days before the same venue hosts the National Modified Sedan Title.
The field assembled were there not only to win the State Title but to also get track time in race conditions before the National Title, which has attracted 56 entries from around the Country.
It will be Aidan Raymont of Queensland who will go in with the most confidence, after recently winning the Victorian Title, the Queensland based driver, a former National Title holder, would win the thirty lap A Main, defeating defending National Champion Brett Baxter, while Kye Walters finished third.
The night did take it’s toll with only nineteen drivers starting the final, with several drivers experiencing issues, while several who did start the State Title failed to finish.
Raymont, apart from winning the South Australian Title for the first time, broke a Victorian stranglehold on the event. Victorian based drivers have won eleven of the last twelve titles, with Raymont also becoming the first Queensland driver to ever place or win the event.
