Patrick Brennan has won the Queensland Junior Sedan Title, with a dominant display on Saturday night at the Rockhampton Speedway.

Brennan would start on the second row of the grid for the 20 lap A Main, alongside James Kennedy, with Brandon Atto and Ryan Morris starting on the front row.

Attto would get the better of the start, but after two laps would be forced to retire, with Brennan taking the lead.

Kennedy moved to second, while Lachlan McHugh, who started ninth would quickly move to third.

The race had a high attrition, with seven of the twenty starters, failing to see the half way mark of the event.

Placings within the top three, remained unchanged until lap fourteen, when McHugh passed Kennedy to move back into second place.  Kennedy would come under enormous pressure in the concluding stages, with Brendan Learoyd moving to third, with just three laps to go. Daniel Johnson and Australian Champion, Michael Learoyd also passed Kennedy with two laps remaining.

Meanwhile, Patrick Brennan had opened a more than comfortable buffer, to win convincingly.  Brennan who just six weeks ago finished on the National Podium, finished more than three seconds clear of McHugh and Brendan Learoyd, to win his first State Title.
