The wait is almost over as the driver line-up for the 2009/2010 Carline Mufflers National Super Sedan Series will be finalised very soon.  Next Friday (October 2) is the deadline for the receipt of the $600 nomination fee from those teams that submitted an Expression of Interest and have subsequently been offered a contract that secures their place in the field and their eligibility for appearance money.

Any Super Sedan competitor is eligible to take part in the entire series as a contracted driver by payment of the $600 nomination fee prior to the commencement of the opening round. However, only those drivers/teams who pay the series nomination fee by October 2 will be included in Carline NSSS promotional material such as posters and the series magazine.  In accordance with series Supplementary Regulations, all drivers who pay the $600 nomination fee prior to the opening round will be eligible for NSSS series point fund money, awards and contingencies if they compete at all rounds. Furthermore, all contracted drivers will also be eligible for a provisional start in accordance with these regulations. The series nomination fee includes transponder administration costs.

In addition to a series nomination form, contracted drivers are required to complete the NSSS Team Agreement, NSSS Code of Conduct, NSSS Driver Profile and provide a photograph of car and a head shot of driver for promotional purposes. The Driver Profile includes the nomination of the car Crew Chief, who will then be eligible for consideration as the NSSS Crew Chief of the Year award.

Drivers intending to contest selected rounds are also invited to submit their nominations for these events now.  The nomination fee is $150 per round, which includes transponder administration costs.  Nominations for individual rounds will be accepted until 4.00pm on the day of the race meeting.

In submitting a nomination for NSSS competition, the driver agrees to abide by the Carline Mufflers National Super Sedan Series Supplementary Regulations, in particular the compulsory use of in-car communications and transponders, the control compound for right hand rear tyres, and the requirement that car numbers must be painted on side panels of the car as roof numbers are not required.
