National Junior Title Practice Cancelled
National Junior Title Practice Cancelled…29/12/06…Pam Franz
Practice for the National Junior Sedan Title being held at Maryborough Speedway was unfortunately cancelled last night after the first 15 minutes due to track conditions. However, 58 Junior drivers took part in the dinner and were presented with many souvenirs of their time at the 2006/07 Junior Sedan Title.
Today the weather is beautifully fine and sunny and racing will commence tonight from 5pm with 3 rounds of heats per driver to be held.
This morning the Junior drivers presented their cars at the Brolga Theatre for the Maryborough locals to inspect, during this time the Best Presented Car was judged and awarded – Kristin Brown from Brisbane won a K’archer Pressure Cleaner with runner up being Amber Morrison from Darwin.
The Mayor of Maryborough welcomed all competitors to the festivities and the famous Maryborough Time Cannon was fired by the ASCF/SSA CEO Neil Sayer to officially open the event.
