<p>The Modified Production mania continues when we clean up, dust off and polish everything in readiness for the return of the mighty men and women of speedway who are preparing themselves and their machines for a cracker of a Club Showcasing.   Superbly presented cars and driving talents will be on centre stage on Saturday 11th February 2012.  We&#8217;ll have Home Grown Champion drivers out in the field with hopefuls and successors carving out names for themselves. This is the proving ground where we get to see the shining stars of past, present and future together on track showing what they can bring.</p>
<p>The Modified Productions will be burning the gas hard in some flat-strapping, gear stripping, fast-track-frenzy around the famous Mothar Mountain circuit in a hazy inferno of lap tearing thunder. Modified Production Monster Madness at its most devasting brilliance! Right out there for all on show.</p>
<p>And if you thought that might be a whole lot of entertainment laid on fast and furiously &#8211; don&#8217;t forget we also have the highly entertaining &#8216;Women in SPEEDWAY&#8217; extravaganza. The glamour of our Women in Speedway out on track driving their race cars around our gorgeous circuit in a stylish display is sure to dazzle. Well&#8230; perhaps&#8230; maybe they&#8217;ll just put on a really good show of how good they are at getting around our Mothar Mountain track. It&#8217;s pure gold &#8211; entertainment at its most elegant&#8230; grittiest.   </p>
<p>We also got Super Streets rev-ving up the Mountain in a Super Street Extravaganza. These machines rock. They&#8217;re fast and they&#8217;re like a younger cousin to the Modified Production with a whole lot to show. So they won&#8217;t want to miss out on any of the attention. The Super Streets will be competing in Round 2 of the &#8216;Tri-City Series&#8217; and the racing will be on!</p>
<p>We have the Junior Sedans fresh back from their adventure to the outback at the Australian Titles in the Northern Territory.</p>
<p>The Formula 500s return to Mothar Mountain Speedway this night as the open-wheeler-formula + our exquisitely shaped track + plenty of exuberance = fun and plenty of outstanding drama.</p>
<p>And lastly but certainly not leastly we have a huge field of Street Sedans out for a run with just one month away from their State Title, which is being staged here at Gympie&#8217;s Mothar Mountain Speedway on 10/11 March 2012. The wild-bunch will be mixing it up in a frenzy of close-calls and seat-of-the-pants racing stuff.</p>
<p>We will have a full list of nominated drivers in all event categories up in here from the 5th February, so stayed tuned.</p>

<p>Please be advised that the Board of Speedway Sedans Australia has banned the use of specialty &#8216;street legal race tyres&#8217; in its Junior Sedan Class competition &#8211; EFFECTIVELY IMMEDIATELY.</p>
<p>This ban includes but is not restricted to, Dunlop Formula-R and Yokohama Advan tyres, which the SSA Board regard as race type tyres specifically made for public road competition and, therefore outside of Rule 29 (e) and (g) of the Junior Sedan class Specification Book 2011, which state -</p>
<p>(e) Racing tyres are NOT PERMITTED</p>
<p>(g) Any tyres listed on a Manufacturer&#8217;s  &#8216;Specialist&#8217; tyre list&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;..are NOT PERMITTED</p>
<p>The SSA will conduct further future investigations into this matter.</p>

<p>Attention All Modified Production Owners</p>
<p>It has been brought to our attention that there is some confusion with the Body specifications.</p>
<p>Please be advised that in order to rectify this, a clarification with immediate effect has been added to Section 11g.  Please ensure that this letter is kept with your current specification book for your records.</p>
<p>11 g)  The only panels which may be replaced with fibreglass/metal/aluminium replica: &#8211; max 2mm thick.  Doors, bonnet, boot, front guards, nose.  Under panel reinforcement plate not permitted.  If original roof is damaged, you may fit a fibreglass roof skin overlay, only if original roof remains intact.  <strong>Sill panels and pillars are NOT to be removed in any form or the internal reinforcing layers located inside the OEM sill panel.</strong></p>

<p>The South Burnett Speedway Club has great pleasure in announcing the “$10,000 to win” 2013 Modified Production Kings Royal, which will be the biggest and the richest Modified Production event to be ever held in Australia and its coming to Kingaroy Speedway in just over 12 months time, on 25th, 26th &amp; 27th January, 2013 &#8211; Australia Day weekend.</p>
<p>This event will run a completely new, unique and never seen before format and racing will be held over 3 nights over the Australia Day Long weekend and in an attempt to ensure the event stay affordable for everyone to take part, there will be NO nomination fee and the club will have a special 3-day “heavily discounted” Super Pass that will save everyone a heap of coin.</p>
<p>The Kings Royal will incorporate time trials, multiple heat races and an all important 50 lap A Main and for those lucky 24 drivers that qualify will walk away from the weekend with at least $400. Not only will there be amazing trophies for the winners, but the trophy presentation will be fit for a king…</p>
<p>Let’s take a look at the format.</p>
<p>Night One – Friday 25th January, 2013.</p>
<p>Hotlaps<br />
2 runs per car in groups of 5 cars<br />
5 laps per group</p>
<p>Qualifying<br />
2 runs per car in groups of 3 cars<br />
3 laps per group<br />
The Top 40 lap times from both qualifying sessions (overall merge) go straight through into Night Two<br />
The rest of the field (so 41st fastest onwards), go into the Non-Qualifying heat races on Night One</p>
<p>Non-Qualifying Heats<br />
Approx 10 cars per heat<br />
1 round of heats<br />
Starting positions based on qualifying times (overall merge)<br />
Therefore 41st = pole in heat 1<br />
42nd = pole in heat 2 etc</p>
<p>Qualifying Mini Features<br />
Based on points from non qualifying round of heats and time trial lap times separating the tied point scorers<br />
Mini Feature 1 &#8211; Qualifiers 1,3,5,7,9,11,13,15,17,19,21,23,25,27,29,31,33,35<br />
Mini Feature 2 &#8211; Qualifiers 2,4,6,8,10,12,14,16,18,20,22,24,26,28,30,32,34,36</p>
<p>Top 10 finishes from each mini feature will transfer into the qualifying field for Night Two<br />
For the remaining cars that don’t qualify for Night two, are finished until the last chance runs on Night Three</p>

<p>Over the past two weeks the QSCA Executive have been in conversation with the Maryborough Sporting Car Club and a prominent Maryborough member in relation to re-scheduling the rained out 2010/2011 Street Sedan Title.  Unfortunately tonight at a Maryborough Committee meeting it was decided that there was already too much planned for the meeting being held on 10th December to fit in a One Night Street Sedan Title re-run.</p>
<p>The situation remains as previously notified &#8211; no Title event for the 2010/11 season will be held for Street Sedans.  The drivers can  now look forward to the running of the 2011/12 season Street Sedan Title at Gympie on 10th &amp; 11th March, 2012 as previously planned.</p>
