AMT Super Street Sedan Series Round 1

Gympie’s Mothar Mountain speedway was the host for the first round of the inaugural AMT Super Street Sedan Series last night. A healthy field of 16 cars led by current Qld Champ Antony Gaunt took to the track to battle it out over 3 rounds of heats and the A Main.
Although the weather seemed uncertain earlier in the afternoon it remained fine and warm and spectators were treated to some great racing. Heat wins went to Justin Jenkins x 2, Shane Reynolds, Joel Thomas, Mick Budgen and Antony Gaunt.
The A Main was led away by Justin Jenkins and Nigel Mulvena who eventually finished the 30 lap A Main in the same order.
Final placings in the A Main were Justin Jenkins, Nigel Mulvena, Joel Thomas, Michael Roza, Brett Dawson, Allen Nottage and Neil Keldoulis. 5 cars started but were unable to complete the journey due to various reasons – Mick Budgen, Antony Gaunt, David Kent, Rick Cunning and Shane Reynolds.
