A huge night of speedway will be held this Saturday at Kingaroy Showgrounds with more than 100 nominations being received.  After a dismal end due to a storm to last Saturday’s racing at Gympie drivers are eager to get on with the 2006/07 season at Kingaroy this week.

Super Street Sedans will headline the program with 15 nominations being received.  Drivers from Gladstone and Rockhampton including Darryl Etherden, Justin Smithwick and Antony Gaunt will take on the Kingaroy locals of David Barbeler, Brett Harm and Brad Scorgie, add to this mix Caboolture and Sunshine Coast visitors including Rodney Midolo, Adrian Stott and Stephen Cook speedway fans will be treated to a great night of Super Street Sedan racing.

18 Street Sedan Division 1 and 23 Street Sedan Division 11 drivers have nominated.  This seasons Street Sedan Titles – both Div 1 and Div 11 will be held on the Kingaroy Showgrounds circuit on 26th & 27th January 2007 and these drivers will be keen to start getting their cars sorted for this event. 

QSCA Junior Street Sedans (12yrs to 17yrs in any registered Street Sedan) will be out in force as well with 16 nominations having been received.

The ever increasing numbers of ASCF Junior Sedans (10yrs to 16yrs in any specially registered ASCF Junior Sedan) ensure that this class will be well represented with 17 nominations to hand.  These youngsters will be preparing for their Qld State Title to be held on the Kingaroy Showgrounds circuit on 6th January 2007 – just 1 week after competing in the first ever National ASCF Junior Sedan Title at Maryborough.

For the open wheel speedway fans 13 Formula 500′s will take to the track with fast close racing action.  These cars complete lap times that equal the huff and puff of the V8 brigade.

Don’t be late this Saturday to Kingaroy to secure your vantage point around the picturesque showgrounds circuit.  2 Canteens provide wholesome value family food and a licensed bar operates for patrons convenience.
