Nominations for the upcoming Qld Modified Production Title close officially today 18th May, 2012.  Great numbers are to hand for this years title being held at Maryborough Speedway on the 9th & 10th June – the last of the Queen’s Birthday weekends to be celebrated in June before this weekend moves to the first weekend in October going forward from 2012.

After a very successful day at scrutineering yesterday followed by 3 hours of fast action Practice today is a lay day. Tonight almost 200 people attend the meet and greet Dinner and Calcutta at the Acacia Ridge Hotel.

Saturday will see the gates open at the speedway track for admission to the Pits from 3pm. Early racing is scheduled from 5pm and Super Sedans are expecting to hit the track from 6pm.

Below are the details for the Dinner and Calcutta function being held on Friday night 4th May at the Acacia Ridge Hotel from 630pm as part of the National Super Sedan Title 2012.

On behalf of the Queensland Saloon Association Inc members, President Jim Cowley extends sincere condolences to the Britten family at this very difficult time on the passing of Paul Britten.

Paul Britten was the current President of the V8 Dirt Modified Association and both his sons Peter and Kevin are very competitive  drivers in the division that Paul worked tirelessly for.

The weekend sees the running of the Qld Street Sedan Title at Gympie’s Mothar Mountain Speedway – run over two nights – Saturday and Sunday nights – speedway enthusiasts will sure get their fill of exciting racing.

Gates open to the Public for speedway viewing at 3pm on both days with racing to start at 4pm on Saturday and 4.30pm on Sunday.Support program on Saturday night is Junior Street Sedans, Super Street and 4 Cylinder Sedans.  Sunday night is supported by Junior Sedans and the no-holes barred wild Modified Productions.

The Qld Super Sedan Title will be held at Charlton Raceway on Friday and Saturday 6th & 7th April (Easter).    Nominations for this event close on Friday 9th March.

Nominations close on WEDNESDAY 7th MARCH 2012 with your State Body – nominations along with the nomination fee are to be sent to QSCA, P.O. Box 298, GYMPIE 4570 – no later than Wednesday 7th March – you will become a late nomination if your nomination is not received at closing.  Faxed entries are acceptable as long as they are followed up by the original and payment of nomination fee.

Please note that due to other major events being held in Mildura at Easter the local club have been requested by the local Council to not hold any speedway on Easter Saturday night. 

This means that
Thursday from 7.00am is scrutineering – you will receive allocated scrutineering times in due course
Practice 5.30-7.30pm,
followed by the Calcutta and Grid Draw process in the Mildura Club Rooms at 8pm,

Friday (Good Friday night) is Heat racing
 
Saturday is no racing at all – time to repair cars and take in the sights of Mildura

Sunday night is the final round of heats and the A,B,C Mains.

Rain Out Date is Monday 9th April, 2012

Each car passing scrutineering will receive 2 complimentary gate passes for all nights.
