The first round of the 2008/09 G & W Racing sponsored Modified Production Series was held at Brisbane International Speedway last Saturday night, 18th October, 2008.

The South Burnett Speedway Club Inc held an emergency meeting of all members on Sunday 19th October, 2008.
A motion was passed that The Club will not hold any race meets this 2008/2009 season.
This decision was made due to issues with meeting all insurance obligations for the Showgrounds venue.
